En el Puerto de Santa María se puede tomar un ferry y navegar hasta Cádiz, o también se puede ir a Cádiz en tren. (Estación de tren a 10 min a pie de la casa)
En Jerez debemos visitar sus bodegas, la Catedral, el Alcázar, sus centros de arte flamenco, sus calles comerciales y los espectáculos de caballos cartujanos en la Real Academia de Arte Ecuestre y en la Yeguada Hierro del Bocado, a 11km de Jerez.
No podemos olvidar que en esta ciudad se celebra en primavera el Gran Premio de Motociclismo y la Feria del Caballo en Mayo. La estación de tren y buses está a unos 600 m y el aeropuerto a 13 km.
En las cercanías de la casa hay bares con menús económicos, buenas tapas y vino. También hay pequeños comercios donde hacer las compras, a la vuelta de la esquina.

This brand new two-storey apartment, with a lovely terrace and private garage, is situated in the historical town centre of Jerez., next to San Miguel Church and 800m away from the Town Hall and 5 minutes walk from the town centre. The apartment has two bedrooms, with embedded wardrobes, 2 complete bathrooms, a fully equiped kitchen, and a living-room with a sofa. 4 people can sleep in this flat, altogether. There are two lifts from the garage direct to the second floor, where the apartment is, and the main room and the terrace are on the upper floor.
From its 61m2 terrace you can see in the distance El Puerto de Santa María with its lovely beaches, and there you can take a small ferry that sails to Cadiz every hour.
In Jerez you should visit its famous wine-cellars, its Cathedral, the Alcazar, its well-known flamenco schools and shows, its shopping pedestrian streets and the wonderful equestrian events in The Royal Academy of Equestrian Art in the centre of Jerez, as well as La Yeguada del Bocado, 11km away from Jerez, the original birthplace of the Cartujano Horses.
If you love the beach, I suggest you go to Costa Ballena, Playa las Redes, Rota, Chipiona (20km away approx., and Chiclana or Conil de la Frontera. These two ones 40km away.
If you like popular celebrations, it is a must attending the Motorbike Grand Prize in April and the Horse Feria, celebrated in May. La Zambomba ia nother important event in the frist weekend of December, when peopl gather in the street to sing Flamenco Christmas Carols. And if you love flamenco and want to learn more about it, La Semana del Flamenco is normally held at the end of february.
The railway station is nearby and from there you can take trains to go to Sevilla, Cadiz, and even to the Jerez airport which is at 12 km from Jerez. Around 20€ by taxi.
In this, all year round sunny town, you can also enjoy the tapas in its bars and you will be kindly welcomed by its merry citizens who are always willing to help you.
