El apartamento está situado en el centro de Barcelona. Justo cruzando la calle Trafalgar se encontrará en el barrio del Born (la zona más bonita y más de moda de la Ciudad Vieja). Las más importantes de interés turístico de Barcelona están a pocos pasos.

Este bonito apartamento es sólo un minuto a pie del famoso Palau de la Música Catalana (Palacio de la música modernista catalán) y de la céntrica Plaza Catalunya. A tan sólo 2 minutos a pie de la Catedral y el mercado orgánico de Santa Caterina donde puedes conseguir provisiones frescas o al Paseo de Gracia, donde se encuentran las casas de Gaudí (Casa Batlló y la Pedrera). Cinco minutos a pie de Santa María del Mar, el Museo Picasso o Las Ramblas (donde se puede encontrar el mercado de la Boquería el Liceo y el Palau Güell). A sólo 7 minutos del puerto viejo de Barcelona.

El apartamento tiene 3 dormitorios y 3 baños con una bonita sala de estar. Sin embargo, se puede configurar como un cuarto de baño 2 dormitorio 3 (en esa configuración cada habitación tiene su propia sala de estar privada con sofá y televisión).

Un arquitecto muy sensible ha renovado este apartamento de lujo de la más alta calidad. Sus suelos de madera maciza, las increíbles baños de diseño, el mobiliario restaurado del siglo XIX antiguos, vigas de madera y paredes de ladrillo. Hemos reformado este apartamento como la suite senior mayor lujo de un hotel de cinco estrellas. Nada ha sido dejado aparte. Hemos mantenido las características arquitectónicas agradables tales como techos altos, vigas de madera y paredes de piedra esto hace que este apartamento muy especial. Cuenta con una cocina completa con una isla central y una mesa con capacidad para 6 a 8 personas. Podemos organizar un chef para cocinar sus comidas por encargo. Si usted está cocinando en la plana se encuentran todos los utensilios y electrodomésticos para cocinar como un chef.

Cada uno de los 3 tres dormitorios tiene su propio cuarto de baño de diseño con ducha de ancho y grandes y bonitos muebles de lavabo lavado de manos. Hay detalles como el cristal magnético que nos instalamos en una de las duchas (pulsando un botón usted puede cambiar el cristal de transparente a opaco). Nos ocupamos de la calidad y el confort en este apartamento. Todas las camas tienen colchones viscoelásticos y ropa de cama de alta calidad (hecha de percal de algodón). Ofrecemos Chortex Toallas de primera calidad procedentes de Inglaterra.

Dos dormitorios tienen camas queen size y el otro dormitorio tiene un sofá cama de espuma de memoria de muy alta calidad (de matrimonio). Hay espacio adicional para dormir en el sofá-cama de espuma de memoria en la sala de estar.

El piso tiene una terraza al aire libre con una mesa y sillas para sentarse fuera.

El piso se sienta en el tercer piso de un edificio de estilo Art Nouveau con un ascensor que sirve el apartamento.

Este apartamento hará la diferencia en su estancia en Barcelona. Me transformé una frase que una vez roja en El Raffles Hotel en Singapur: "Si bien en el apartamento de la vendimia, por qué no visitar Barcelona?"

Pros & Cons

The pros of the apartment were: 1). Great location for all tourist activities 2). Great beds. 3). Very well done inside. 4). Air conditioning was really nice in this warm location. 5). Grocery store right across the street. 6). Felt safe and secure

Cons: 1). The entrance door at the street has broken glass that could hurt someone if it broke again. 2). Entrance to apt was not finished. The tile on the floor was not done and electrical wires were hanging everywhere. A safety inspector would freak out over the mess. 3). In the apt every time the master bath toilet was flushed, the sink in the kitchen sounded as if the waste might come up there in the kitchen. The other bathroom did not do this. 4). The shower in the second bedroom did not drain properly. Each time you showered it filled up and was close to overflowing onto the floor.

5). We took the tour with Miguel (the owners father). He was extremely knowledgeable on the history of Spain &a Barcelona. The downside was we walked non stop for six hours with no bathroom break, no water and no lunch. A nice lunch should be included in the tour. 6). We saw the famous LaFamilia church, but tickets to go inside were not included, so we had to make another trip to see the interior. The tour was a whopping 350 euros. 7). No departure info was given, so we had to wing it with the cleaning up & the key etc.

Would I rent it again...probably, but be aware of the problems.

Respuesta del propietario: Thanks a lot for your nice comment. The flat is very central just few steps to the major sightseeing’s of Barcelona. Thee is no need to get on public transportation as the must are on a short walking distance. We have 2 powerful AC Units at the flat. We really took care of the quality materials when we refurbished the flat 3 years ago. Regarding the toilet at the master bedroom it’s a pump flushing WC. We had to put this kind of toilet otherwise due to the down pipes installation at the building. we would only have been able to install 1 WC at the flat. This way we have two WC. It has an exterior unit located on one side of the kitchen (properly covered) but its not connected to the sink so there is no need to worry about it. As for the second shower when you told me that it was not flowing well we sent the technician and he fixed it. Its true that there have been some works going on at the entrance of the flat. We truly apology for it but its out of our control. It’s a community decision to make the improvements and we can’t oppose to it. Thanks also for your nice comment on my dad’s tour. He always does tours on demand in case our guest require to eat in the middle of the tour or go to WC he will adapt to the guest needs. As for the price notice that it’s a 6 hours private tour. As you said it was non-stopping and included both the Old Town area and the Art Nouveau buildings. The knowledge of my dad’s history makes this tour very interesting and it has always been very high rated by our guest. We always inform that the entrance to the sites is not included. Notice that the ticket cost to Sagrada Familia can go up to 30 Euro per person. If you compare the price/quality of the tour with competitors you would see that is very worth it. Plus I can proudly say that the knowledge and study of my dad’s history of the city exceeds by far the average. As for the departure instructions normally Eddie give all the indications for departure. I will check with him and I apology if that was not explained. Thanks again for choosing us to stay in Barcelona. It’s been a pleasure to host you at our flat and we hope you keep good memories of your trip. We send you our best wishes

Superb location and excellent hosts.

Perfect location for most of the main sights. Only took taxis to Park Guell and La Sangrada Familia. Although public transport would have sufficed taxis are cheap and plentiful (Mid-September). The apartment is light, very clean and comfortable. Only missing a kettle! Some nice touches; the transparent/opaque shower screen was fun; the fibre-optic lights (a little too low though and only one set worked); Modern lights everywhere including the skirting. Didn't have any problems with street noise in the master bedroom but the people upstairs were a little loud at times. Entrance and stairs to the apartments was being refurbished when we were there so some noise and dust from this.

Main criticism would be the partial opaque glass in the second, blue, bedroom and it's bathroom. The bedroom because the light in the kitchen shines into it and the bathroom because anyone passing from the third bedroom to the kitchen can see into the shower.

Miguel answered all queries immediately and arranged (and re-arranged at short notice) a taxi for us from/to the airport. Poor Eddie had to wait till 23:30 for us after a flight cancellation and a delay on a later flight. He still had time to explain the working of the apartment and tell us where to find a supermarket and the metro. He also provided another set of sheets and duvet when it was realised that the second couple were not partners but brother and sister. We probably should have mentioned that before we arrived!

Do eat at the Cuines Santa Catarin, recommended by Miguel. The first evening we ate in the main restaurant and the food was very good. We also had tapas there for lunch the next day and for an evening meal on another day. The food and the service was excellent with the menu in several languages.

Would not hesitate to recommend this apartment to others. Ideally suited to two couples or two couples and 2 younger children.

Loved this place

Perfect location on a quiet street with quick walking access to the Old Town area. The apartment was spotless and well laid out, with plenty of room (excellent shower/bathrooms/air conditioning). The owner was super helpful, checked in with us, and gave great advice. His dad took us on a wonderful tour of the Old town and they arranged a Foodie tour that really helped us to get to know the city (the foodie tour folks made restaurant recommendations/reservations for 3 nights that were outside of the tourist area, reasonably priced, packed with locals, with amazing food.

Mom took the shampoo

So I was pondering why should my son Braun have all the fun? I booked flights for my husband and two other boys to join in at the end of his 7 week study abroad. As travel plans were finalizing I ticketed my Mom and sister for our crazy train ride.

I booked the flat for 4 nights. Prior to arrival I had emailed with Miguel a zillion times with questions. He was always so quick to respond. I wondered if he even slept at night. He arranged everything perfectly for us. Since I was arriving with a seventy-five year old Grandma, I really could not handle any surprises. (She brings her own).

Alex ( cab) met us at the airport on time. He spoke very good English and brought 6 of us straight to the flat. Miguel's Dad was there to greet and orient us to the beautiful flat. It was a lot bigger than I expected and allowed us all plenty of space to spread out. I will try to avoid the redundancy of all the other reviewers. I agree! Very clean, comfortable and safe. (AC worked great)

We really walked everywhere aside of to the beach. Very convenient. The market across the street was a bonus. If you like wine then I would certainly capitalize on picking from Miguel's selection. They were wonderful. I will say he goes out of his way to make sure all of your needs are met. Thank you Miguel. After an amazing trip to Barcelona we returned safely to the airport (thank you Alex). After repeated beepings at the security gate my Mom looked like she was playing strip poker. Geez Ma! Read the signs! After she was finally cleared her bag was pulled and gone through. They removed the big bottle of shampoo that my Mom took from the flat (sorry Miguel). I asked her why she took it. She said well, "it was such a nice hotel and I was told you should take the shampoo because they throw them away and it was too nice to leave."Needless to say, the flat was a great place to stay with people you love and those that sometimes push some boundaries. It was a very memorable trip!

Great Location and the Owners are Wonderful!

We were 5 adults and used the taxi service Eddie arranged. The hallways of the apartment were being renovated which was a good thing because it meant the building was being maintained. The small elevator accommodated 3 adults without luggage but, Eddie helped us bring the luggage to the apartment. The apartment was very clean and showers were great; shampoo, soap & hair dryer provided. We were able to purchase groceries at the supermarket around the corner and cook some meals. Miguel provide fruit & wine upon arrival. The washing machine and dryer are all one unit, with a dryer setting, and soap is provided. There was also a drying rack and clothes line on the balcony. The only area that was small for us was the living room seating. Two of the bedrooms share one large closet. The air conditioning was fantastic. We didn't use the dishwasher but, soap was provided. We did use the iron & ironing board. We had plenty of towels because Eddie gave us an extra set when we arrived. There is a sign about putting toilet paper in the toilet, but we were respectful and only put small amounts in the toilet and had no problem. What made our experience really great was how responsive Miguel was to answering all our emails quickly. I would feel extremely comfortable recommending any apartment he has to rent. Miguel's rental descriptions were very accurate and he was wonderful to work with.
