"A second home on Cape Cod"
This year has been our second stay at Michael and Phyllis' beautiful cottage on Cape Cod and it was as wonderful as our first stay last year! Michael and Phyllis are great landlords who do everything to make your stay as enjoyable as possible! They show great hospitality and they put so much love into their cottage so that the whole family immediately feels like being home! The cottage does not only find itself in a perfect location - not far away from several beaches and stores - but it is also kept very updated by its owners! It definitely becomes a second home and we hope to be back there again in the future for another great vacation!
Best VRBO experience of all!
You will not find a cuter, more well equipped or organized cottage than this centrally located gem. We've had VRBO experiences from coast to coast and this was our best experience so far! To celebrate our 30th anniversary, we spent 10 days here in total comfort and we truly felt at home each evening as we returned to this adorable place after our days spent touring Cape Cod. Highly recommend!
Beautiful updated cottage, close to everything
We had a wonderful stay at this cottage. Michael and Phyllis are gracious hosts, they even had a nice "welcome tote" filled with some needed essentials... and WINE!
The cottage is actually nicer than the pictures show, we were so impressed with the updated appliances, the outside shower (which my husband loved), the washer and dryer,comfortable furniture, etc etc.
The owners have thought of everything you made need and everything in the cottage is labeled, sounds crazy but it sure helps when you're looking for something you may need.
I loved the proximity to stop n shop, literally a 1 minute drive away. Beaches, 3 min drive away. If you had bikes, you could make it in 10 mins (but you have to cross rte 28), no biggie, traffic lights abound. Restaurants, mini golf, ice cream shops and anything else you can think of is a 5 minute drive.
The only thing we would love to see in this beautiful cottage is a king size bed. We really needed the extra room of a larger bed and I think one would fit in that master.
My husband was a little disappointed that they didn't provide NESN in their cable service (we're huge sports fans and had to go to local bars to watch our games).
Having mentioned those 2 things that we would like to see , I must reiterate how much we loved our stay and when it was time to leave, we actually arranged to stay one more day ! We would absolutely rent here again, loved the cottage, the hosts, and location.

Perfect!
This was our family of four's first time renting a house on the cape, and we were extremely happy with the experience from start to finish! The house is beautiful. Along with that, expectations were clear, and we really appreciated the "handbook," which provided all of the instructions and information we needed for our stay. The welcome package was an added bonus - we were so touched by this! We also really appreciated the fact that everything was labeled - making it very easy to navigate the house. The back deck and outdoor shower were perfect and put to good use! While the beach is not necessarily in walking distance, it is in reasonable running distance - we are runners so we ran to the beach with the kids in their strollers almost every day. We also explored the beaches of Dennis, which were just a short drive away. The grocery store is right around the corner, very convenient. For the one question we did have during our stay, Michael was very responsive - within minutes. The only thing that I would make other potential renters aware of - particularly those with small children - is that the house is on a busier road - I could have easily figured this out for myself ahead of time, but I didn't. This didn't matter much because we spent so little time at the house, and it isn't a deal breaker for next time, but others might want to be aware. Highly recommend!
Felt like home!
My family just enjoyed a week at Phyllis and Michaels home, it was exactly what we were hoping for...these are some of the reasons why we loved it.
1) SPOTLESS & BEAUTIFUL: I've worked the last 20 years in the hotel industry and I would consider myself a picky neat freak, this home was extremely clean and also important it smelled great, no musty smell like other rentals.
2) LOCATION: it seemed we were never more than 15 minutes from anywhere, we go to several beaches and attractions in Hyannis and Dennis and this was by far the best place to be.
3)ORGANIZED & CONVENIENT: Phyllis you have the most organized rental ever, labels on all doors and drawers so you know exactly where to find things, no clutter, lots of space to unpack your things. Keypad (no keys :)) outdoor shower, easy access to hose and trash bin. Garage was off the kitchen making it easy to keep beach gear. Beach gear, we had ours but if you don't they have everything, and I mean everything.
I want to thank you both for being such wonderful home owners, Phyllis you definetely go out of your way to make sure your renters have what they need right down to a special personalized welcome gift, it's been the best rental I've ever stayed in, beautifully decorated, comfortable, clean, we felt right at home! 3rd time is a charm!!!
Just returned from our third year in a row of staying in this relaxing, well-organized, peaceful cottage for a week of summer fun in Cape Cod! The location is so ideal close to everything we wanted to do- rain or shine: beaches on bay or atlantic side, whale watching, bowling, outdoor concerts, etc. As our boys get older there is still plenty of room for our family of 4 to feel comfortable. The outdoor shower remains one of our favorite perks- as well as the ping pong table in the basement! Apple tv/ fast wireless are nice too. Love the new updates this year including shade over half the deck- we ate many meals out there! Thanks so much for maintaining this property so well- we look forward all year to coming back and wouldn't even consider staying anywhere else!
