In just a short 10 min. drive , you'll be in the town of Strasburg. Stop and enjoy your favorite flavor ice cream at either At Down on the Farm, or the famous Creamery Main street Strasburg and watch the buggies go by. While in town you can walk to many unique shops . Then take a ride on the railroad , have dinner in the dining car and enjoy the beautiful scenery all around us. Maybe even see Thomas if he is in town.
From there go on up 5 miles to the outlets , see a show at sight and sound lots of shopping at the outlets, or travel a little bit further to unique shops in intercourse, check out the antiques, try one of the many Smorgashbords available, and many restaurants. Go into market on Tuesday, Friday and Sat. Take the kids to Dutch wonderland , or Hershey Park is about 50 min. drive for a day of adventure. Maybe take in a baseball game at the Barnstormer stadium, check for what games they have fireworks. You can travel on up for a day in Gettysburg, a nice drive up route 30, or down to Washington DC.(2 1/2 hrs), or maybe Philadelphia(1 1/2). You won't be bored unless you want to be.
