Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would (indeed have) recommended it to friends. We have stayed in the road before so know the ropes. Felt that despite giving 30 minutes notice of our arrival we still had to sit around for 20 minutes on arrival for someone to turn up. Since we had just driven 500 miles didn't feel this quite right.
Loved the house. We travel with proverbial kitchen sink but if you arrive by air get out to the corner shop before it closes for the afternoon. Left the right and diagonally across road is somewhere you can get most essentials. But beware it does look a little like a car spare parts place! It is closed from 2 til 5.30. Ish.
Would return to this property.
We spent a gloriously relaxing, gloriously sunny couple of weeks here in August. It's a beautiful house, furnished and equipped as a home from home, spotlessly clean with good wifi and aircon. The views from the roof are gorgeous and we spent several lazy evenings up there catching the late sun and enjoying long, lazy bbqs.
There's a lovely little pool over the road from the house that we had almost exclusive use of - ideal for a cool down after a day out. It's a short walk into town with supermarkets, shops, cafes and restaurants. Very local, very Spanish but still very welcoming. We'd pop in to eat or just grab an ice cream or drink after our BBQ and sit in the main square people watching.
Out and about, there are great sandy beaches nearby plus a big waterpark and one day we even drove to Gibraltar to see the apes and take a dolphin watching trip. Cadiz is a beautiful city, easy to get to from the house and with plenty to do and see.
The year before this holiday, we'd done a fully inclusive with kids club so we wondered how our two young girls (and us) would manage without organised entertainment on hand - but we needn't have worried, we had a fabulous, very chilled time and they loved it. I managed to read a couple of books, we watched a few DVDs and came back with lovely deep tans from spending so much time outside, feeling super relaxed - so highly recommend both the house and the area. This was our 4th holiday in the region - we love the fact it feels so authentically Spanish and chilled - but I think this was the best accommodation we've had yet.
We would highly recommend this lovely home for a holiday of comfort and excellent amenities. The local village, a short walk away, is typically Spanish and showcases the strong community values. Evenings are a pleasurable experience of eating and drinking local specialities and watching the folks enjoying their family lives. Everything was such good value and cheap by UK standards.
The house is as described and has everything you could want. With roof top, balcony or patio to sit out on you are spoilt for choice. If cooking at home is your thing then the local supermarket is really excellent with a wide variety of fish as crazy prices (cheap!).
A great base from which to explore the area with Cadiz, Jerez and Seville within easy reach. Horse racing on the beach, flamenco, Sherry houses and great markets there is something for everyone. Bar Madrid offers wifi connections and such friendly service a great place to start and finish the day. We couldn't fault anywhere that we ate and loved the fact that no one spoke any English!
A wonderful holiday was had by all.
The whole experience has been fab from the information shared before booking to letting us in the house 3 hours earlier than expected! Loads of towels and sunbeds and a beautifully clean home.
We have just returned from a fabulous holiday in Lebrija, staying at this really lovely villa with everything we could need. The villa is well equipped, very clean, spacious, and very comfortable (especially the beds). There is plenty of outside space to use with 3 terraces on different levels, though the airconditioning was a welcome respite in the heat of the afternoon. The pool is a few metres away across from the villa, perfect for our toddler and 10 yr old and considering we were there in peak season, not too busy.
The town is an easy 10 minute walk away, with a great supermarket (excellent fish counter) and plenty of cafes and restaurants. The place comes alive in the evening, with families out enjoying the cooler weather.
We visited the Aqua Park, Seville and Jerez, all within easy reach but there are lots of other places to visit and explore in the region. There is a plethora of information available in the villa.
We met lots of locals (English and Spanish) who were really friendly and helpful which made our holiday even more enjoyable.
Overall, we had a fantastic break and hope to go back again soon.
Situated within easy reach of Seville and Beaches. There is also a swimming pool some 50 metres from the house for the use of residents which is a great place to cool down in the summer heat. Getting around by car was straight forward and the roads very good.
The house was very clean and fully equiped with towels including beach towels. The roof terrace was fantastic especially for lazing around with a cold beer watching the sun go down over the Andalucian hills. There was also satellite TV and a DVD player to keep our Son entertained in between swimming and trips out.
Fantastic Beaches 30 or so mins away near Chipiona with easy parking and beach side cafes. Aqualand Water Park in Bahia de Cadiz is ideal for children and those young at heart (25 mins away).
There is a theme park (Isla Magica) in Seville (hours drive) which again is great for kids and has a number of water rides to keep you cool (you will get wet).
The local town is not a tourist spot and the locals are friendly. There are plenty of Tapas Bars and Resturants the pick of which are probably Cafe Lechuga and Cafe Le Quema but all are good and reasonably priced. The local supermarket stocks all you are likely to need and has a huge fresh fish counter with great variety and at a fraction of the cost you pay in the UK. There is also a daily indoor market in the town centre where you can buy fresh fruit, veg, fish and meat.
With or without children there is plenty to see and do and would recommend it to anyone who wants to see the real Spain.
We had a wonderful stay in Lebrija, Spain. Lebrija is a non-touristy town that is within easy driving distance of Seville, Cadiz, and Jerez. The townhouse was immaculately clean and well equipped. It was also nicely decorated. The views from the rooftop terrace were spectacular. The townhouse fit our family of 4 nicely and there was still a spare bedroom that we didn't use. The booking process was easy. The owner met us when we checked into the townhouse and gave good advice on traveling and local restaraunts. We had a lovely stay in Spain and would recommend this townhouse. Makesure you bring a Spanish phrase book!
