The Windsor Hills Resort is a fabulous place for families who are visiting Disney. It is very will-managed, very well-kept and secure. It has a variety of amenities for all families to enjoy.
This particular townhouse, however, is not a luxury, 5-star property. It was surfaced cleaned before we arrived and appeared to have a few new area rugs. But it has not had a deep cleaning for years. Dirt, stains and dust have built up on the baseboards, cabinets, ceiling fans, artwork and railings. Paint is faded and chipping. The faucet in the kitchen and master bath are not in proper working order. The sliding shower door in the first floor bath is off track and the track is full of dirt.
The kitchen supplies are limited. They may be sufficient for a quick visit but many items were lacking for our two month stay. The pots were limited. There was a set of htree pyrex bowls but no serving dishes, mixing bowls, salad bowls. Various utensils were of poor quality.
This is the first rental I have ever stayed in the didn't offer start up supplies -- dish soap, paper towels, trash bags, cleaning supplies, spare light bulbs, etc. There was a partial roll of toilet paper in each bathroom. There was a bucket, mop , broom and semi-useable vacuum cleaner. The first night we had to purchase cleaning products and basic supplies necessary for daily living . As noted in other reviews, there are signs explaining that you are to keep the place clean and trash is to be put in 13 gallon bags but there are no cleaners or bags.
There were plenty of bathroom and pool towels and two sets of sheets for each bed. While there were some newer towels and brand new sheets the cleanliness of most of the linens was suspect...sheets and towels were stained. There were no towels or dish rags in the kitchen. There were also no extra blankets or throws. Each bed had sheets and some sort of bed spread but no blankets.
As reflected in the other reviews, the beds in the kids bedroom have been repaired. When we arrived. the sofa in the living room was very dirty, stained and sticky, and uncomfortable. There was only one large over head light in the living/dining area and no lamps. I contacted the host and she replaced the sofa with a very serviceable and comfortable sofa and loveseat and she purchased a floor lamp.
In our two month stay, we saw many nice condos and townhouses. While it is understandable that Windsor Hills is a luxury resort, the townhouse is not.
