My husband and I stayed here for 2 nights with our 4 year old son. It was so much more than we expected. The campsite was lovely, not too crowded with a beautiful lake/beach right next to a little park. The barrel itself was in a brilliant location, just on the edge of a fishing pond, toilet and shower cubicle just over the road. Each barrel has its own area so they're not on top of eachother. We arrived and were given the keys and shown around, he also brought an Easter Egg pack for our son as it was Easter weekend. Not only did we have the barrel pod to sleep in but a separate shed next door which served as a kitchenette with a fridge, hob, sink, tables and some basics ie pans/plates etc, a BBQ and a fire pit were also included. He brought us firewood without us asking and ensured we had enough throughout our stay. We were also invited to their Easter bonfire which was nice as we were able to get involved in the German Easter Traditions. The actual barrel was very comfortable and the bed was HUGE, it was also heated and had a thermostat to maintain a steady temperature. The weather wasn't great so we put our own gazebo up on the patio, which ended up in the fishing pond one day while we were out. Mr Wiltmann kindly waded in and pulled it out, securing it to the barrel until we returned and then helped us to secure it properly from the wind. Overall our stay here was amazing and we would highly recommend it to anyone. It rained for 2 days but it didn't ruin our stay at all. thank you for making us feel welcome and ensuring our stay was brilliant, we hope to be back soon.
